Best of Mallorca: Valldemossa

Updated June 2025

Valldemossa is a picturesque medieval mountain town, with quaint historic stone houses, cobblestone streets, and flower-pot-filled alleyways.

An easy place to spend a few hours, wander along the narrow streets, enjoy a beverage and a bite, pop into shops, and then settle in for a nice meal. There are historic buildings you can visit - Frédéric Chopin and George Sand Museum, Carthusian Monastery, and the Palace of King Sancho - but I prefer just taking the town in, and seeing where the day takes you.
